Road transport
Road transport is most commonly used for transporting oil and petroleum products over short distances, especially when other transportation options are not available due to time constraints or the remote location of the destination (lack of railway lines or ports). The cost of transporting raw materials by road is slightly higher than other methods. However, the advantages — speed and maneuverability — should not be overlooked.
Rail transport
The most optimal method of transporting petroleum products is rail transport. Special tank cars allow for the year-round transportation of almost any type of raw material across the entire country.
River and sea transport
Sea and river transport of oil is carried out by tankers and supertankers. The main advantage of this delivery method is the ability to transport large volumes at a moderate cost. However, it is important to consider the slow speed of cargo movement and the seasonality of river channel traffic when using this method.
