Installation of 1,000 m³ flexible storage tanks
Flexible storage tanks with a capacity of 1,000 m³, manufactured by Neftetank, were installed at the Priobskoye field. Arctic Diesel Fuel Euro 5 was delivered by two barges. The manufacturer is Surgut ZSK.
Flexible storage tanks are sealed enclosures in the form of pillows or cylinders. They are made of a flexible polymer that is welded on high-precision automated equipment using a patented “double shear seam” welding technology.
Key advantages of flexible storage tanks include:
- high strength of the shell material and resistance to abrasion;
- chemical inertness to the stored product and resistance to environmental factors such as moisture, ultraviolet radiation, and bacteria;
- seismic safety;
- enhanced frost resistance with full retention of elasticity;
- tightness;
- reliability and durability (designed for approximately 1,000 folding–unfolding cycles, with a service life of up to 20 years at temperatures ranging from −60°C to +85°C).
