Taneco complex shut down for major overhaul
Enterprises of the Tatneft Group produced 2.3 million tons of oil in the first four months of 2017, which is 363,000 tons more than in the same period of 2016. In 2017, Taneco processed more than 2 million tons of oil and was shut down for scheduled maintenance.
“From April 15 to May 21, the Taneco Complex is shut down for scheduled major overhaul,” the Tatneft press service reported.

In April 2017, the Taneco oil refining and petrochemical complex processed 389.4 thousand tons of feedstock; since the beginning of the year, 2.7 million tons. This included 344.1 thousand tons of crude oil in April and 2.4 million tons since the beginning of the year.
Taneco reduced the output of motor gasoline and diesel fuel. At the enterprise, physical volumes of petroleum product production decreased by 2%, while the share of middle distillates increased in the sales structure. TAIF-NK reduced feedstock processing volumes by 6%, mainly due to a decrease in gas condensate processing. The gasoline plant operated at partial capacity, as desulfurization capacities were limited for the production of Euro-5 standard gasoline.
Previously, the company’s press service noted that during the maintenance period a comprehensive set of measures was planned to ensure the safe and reliable operation of equipment. In particular, at the ELOU-AVT-7 primary oil processing unit, three furnace air heaters, shut-off valves are to be replaced, bypass lines for control valves installed, and the vacuum system separator replaced.
The Taneco complex was commissioned in 2011 and produces a wide range of petrochemical products, including diesel fuel, aviation fuel, and base oils. “Supplies of high-quality diesel fuel to fuel stations will continue and will be carried out from JSC Taneco and the Naberezhnye Chelny branch of Tatneft-AZS Center LLC,” the company noted. In 2016, the Taneco complex processed 8.7 million tons of oil, producing more than 9 million tons of petroleum products, including additional feedstock.
